Quarter III, Pertamina EP Achieves net income to Rp 14.3 Trillion

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com -Pertamina EP noted the net profit up to quarter III-2012 amounted to Rp 14.3 trillion, up 21.2 percent compared to the achievement of the same period last year to Rp 11.8 trillion. Increase in operational profit sustained by the company.

Pertamina EP public relations Manager Agus Amperianto explains the increase of profit sustained by the company's oil production reached 127,9 thousand barrels per day (MBOPD) and gas amounted to 1.755 .9 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).

While in the same period last year, the production of Pertamina EP reach MBOPD 126,1 and gas production of 1,027 .6 MMSCFD.

"To support the efforts of the discovery of oil and gas reserves, Pertamina EP doing exploratory efforts by completing the 3D seismic survey over 2.027 km2 and 2D seismic over 538 miles," said Agus in Jakarta, Monday (12/11/2012).

According to Agus, for drilling exploration, Pertamina EP has completed 18 wells consisting of 6 well drilling wildcat wells and 12 deleniasi. Whereas to date, the Pertamina EP is still in the process of implementation of drilling wildcat wells, 3 2 deleniasi wells, and 1 twin well drilling.

Meanwhile, to support the efforts of the optimization of production, Pertamina EP has completed the drilling of exploitation as much as 84 wells and still doing well the exploitation of drilling on the 13th. While working for the well, Pertamina EP has completed 52 of the well and still do work restarted on 3 other wells.

"The realization of the performance of the quarter III-2012 commitment was the Pertamina EP in answering the challenges of natural production decline of 18 percent per year," he added.

In addition, to seek an increase in production, Pertamina EP also made a number of attempts at Acceleration (breakthrough projects), including optimization of production on existing assets, conducting new field development acceleration, reproduce Your Work and development of drilling Move layers (KUPL), reactivation, suspended wells, drain oil advanced stage activity or enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and put on production exploration activities.
