Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) per day was successfully achieved production of 40.093 barrel of oil per day (BOPD) and gas 202,4 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
PHE ONWJ claiming the world is the highest production in the field since the takeover of ownership by Pertamina.

"This success has been dropping off production amounting to achieve PHE ONWJ almost doubled since Pertamina began operating the ONWJ block in 2009. Our production facilities maintenance Program that was very old also went smoothly, so even though the early years of production had slowed, but towards the end of this year we can again achieve the appropriate production expectations, "said Executive VP/GM PHE ONWJ Sinulingga, Jonly in a press release Monday (12/11/2012).

PHE ONWJ also claims to have had success in terms of finding oil and gas reserves in the area of operations after 13 years of not doing the explore activity. In 2011, PHE ONWJ successfully perform exploratory wells YY-4 and KKT 1. Test results from wells in zone 3 YY-4 produces a total of 2899 BPOD and 22 MMCFD of gas wells, KKT-1 produce 2100 bopd and 2 MMCFD of reservoir zones 2.

The target of 5 exploratory wells in 2012 i.e. KLU 1, MRAX ZTX-1,-1, SP-1, EG-1; KLU-1 well has been successfully found reserves of gas and condensate from the four structures with a total result of tests of 620 BOPD and 22 MMSCFD of gas well drilling, while the others will be held at the end of the year to early next year.

"This discovery is very proud to remember there has been a void of exploration activities for 13 years. The test results are good enough, we'll be continuing seismic activity and exploration as an adjunctive production ONWJ in years to come, "said Jonly

According to Jonly, the realization of performance PHE ONWJ is expected to respond to the challenges of the natural decline in oil production by 17% per year. PHE ONWJ also submit four (4) exploration wells in 2013 that will hopefully add to the oil and gas reserves off the coast of the sea of Western Java to support Pertamina in reaching the targets of national production.

At the end of this year, 3D seismic survey covering an area of 750 Km2 in the western part of Transition Zone (West Transition Zone) has also been completed smoothly and safely.

The composition of ownership block ONWJ is Pertamina Energy ONWJ Ltd (the Operator) of 53,25 percent, EMP ONWJ Ltd. 36,7205 percent, Talisman Resources (N. W Java) Ltd. amounted to 5,0295 per cent and Risco Energy ONWJ BV by 5 percent.

ONWJ gas production blocks (Offshore North West Java) supplied to domestic needs, namely, PT PLN, PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek Balongan Refinery and Pertamina RU VI.
