PLN Buys power from LAHENDONG Rantau Dedap

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com -State electricity company PT (Persero) agreed to buy electricity from geothermal energy to the PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap.

The power supply comes from Geothermal power plants (LAHENDONG) Rantau Dedap capacity of 2 x 110 MW located in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, and will operate commercially in 2017.

The signing of the PPA PLTU Rantau Dedap is made Director of PLN, Nur Pamudji with the President Director of PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap, Santoso Supramu. The event was also attended by Minister of energy and Mineral resources, Jero Wacik.

PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap is a consortium of companies PT Supreme Energy, GDF Suez and Marubeni Corporation. The consortium that will build the capacity of Rantau LAHENDONG Dedap 2 x 110 MW in Muara Enim, South Sumatra.

Nur Pamudji said, this is part of an effort to continue to improve the supply capacity of the electrical energy on the island of Sumatra as well as increase the ratio of energy mix through the development of new and renewable energy power plants

Project private power 2x110 MW LAHENDONG Dedap Rantau is a project in the project list of the acceleration of the construction of 10,000 MW power plant phase two.

This is in accordance with the presidential Regulation No. 4 of 2010 about the assignment to the PLN to accelerate the construction of power plants that use renewable energy, coal, and gas, and Curfew Regulations No. 15 of 2010 jo number 1 in 2012 on a list of projects the development acceleration of power plants that use renewable energy, coal and gas as well as associated transmission.

2x110 MW LAHENDONG Dedap Burials will be able to produce 1.734 .5 GWh per year. Unit 1 is planned to operate commercial (Commercial Operation Date/COD) on January 2017 and fully operational (units 1 and 2) March 2017.
