BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com —Deputy Transport Minister Bambang Susantono Open Ocean Summit 2012 in the West Hall of the Bandung Institute of technology, Monday (12/11/2012). This event discusses themes such as maritime, port, coastal, and offshore.
This event was opened by the Rector of ITB Akhmaloka and Committee Chairman, Muslim Muin. In addition to the Conference in the West Hall, there is also an exhibition held at the basketball court in ITB.
In his speech, Bambang revealed the Government's plans regarding improvement of the port infrastructure, i.e. Pendulum archipelago. The programs listed in the master plan of acceleration and expansion of the economic development of Indonesia (MP3EI) that would connect the six major ports in Indonesia, namely the Bawean in Medan, Batam, Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and slide.
"The projects cost up to Rp 116 trillion," said Bambang.
He hoped the project could hit domestic logistics costs, given that making local commodity import commodities were defeated.
