Pengusaha: Upah Minimum Rp 2,2 Juta, Gaji Buruh Sama Seperti PNS Gol. IIIA

Jakarta - Masalah kenaikan upah minimun provinsi (UMP) seperti tak ada habisnya. Kenaikan UMP DKI Jakarta menjadi Rp 2,2 juta/bulan menuai pro dan kontra. Kalangan pengusaha tekstil menilai, dengan penetapan upah ini, berarti gaji seorang sarjana sama dengan gaji buruh lulusan SD.

Demikian diungkapkan Sekertaris Jenderal Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) Ernovian G Ismi dalam acara diskusi soal UMP di Kantor Sekretariat Dewan Pengurus Nasional API di Jalan Gedung Duta Graha, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, Selasa (27/11/12).

"Upah itu dalam pemerintahan itu standar untuk (PNS) IIIA, dengan background sarjana. Di industri padat karya, lulusan SD itu Rp 2,2 juta," katanya.

Lebih lanjut dia mengatakan, penetapan upah ini harus sesuai dengan produktifitas dan efisiensi buruh-buruhnya. Mulai dari jam kerja hingga ketrampilan.

"Upah ini harus sesuai dengan skill, produktifitas, dan efisiensi," ungkap Ernovian.

Dia mencontohkan, jam kerja buruh di industri di Indonesia termasuk yang paling rendah dibanding negara-negara lain yang menjadi saingan industri Indonesia selama ini.

"Kita 40 jam/minggu. Dibandingkan negara lain kompetitor kita, kita paling rendah, China, Bangladesh, dan lain-lain," katanya.

Tak hanya itu, dia pun menuturkan, jam beroperasinya pabrik di Indonesia masih tergolong minim. Dalam setahun, sebuah pabrik hanya beroperasi selama 339 hari.

"Bangladesh 350 hari, India 357, Pakistan 348 hari," pungkasnya.
